Privateers at Hearing

By Flavio

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Air Force presentation on the Low Altitude Special Operations Maneuvers. I am sure most everyone that participated must of been pleased at how many people showed up. I sure felt proud to be from Taos. People had some really important concerns to express from damage to elk and other wildlife, the poisoning of the headwaters of the Rio Grande and Colorado, more destruction of the Taos Pueblo like the huge crack caused by a sonic boom in the 1970’s and avalanche danger, stampeding live stock and of course the fact that everyone of the three evening practice flights were preparation for the continued assault on innocent people all to protect corporate power.

Several people noted that millions of tax dollars have already been spent on upgrading Cannon Air Base in preparation for our nightly air raids. The air force took pictures of everyone’s face for some reason (Editor’s Bold). The data the raids will collect “for practice” will none the less be helpful if the authorities need to crush opposition to their policies.

The presentation was organized by a “black water” type contractor called Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC,) which signed a $35 Million Task Order with U.S. Special Operations Command. the man that started SAIC   J. Robert Beyster, Ph.D. worked at Los Alamos and General Atomics, the company the brought us the Predator drone. SAIC is profiting heavily from this project. Because they are a private contractor they are not required to provide information on the intelligence they are gathering and when ever the Air Force wants to violate our rights they can use the cover of SAIC.

“We are a leading provider of scientific, engineering, systems integration and technical services and products to all branches of the U.S. military, agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the intelligence community, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other U.S. Government civil agencies.”
